THE LITERARY RECIPE
It will be a brief journey back in time, made of aromas, flavors, traditions, and words.
And so, La Ricetta Letteraria (The Literary Recipe) was born a monthly column dedicated to those who love books, cooking, and the little stories that time has tucked away between the pages.
Each month, we will open an old cookbook together: volumes yellowed with age, recipes written in long-forgotten language, curious ingredients, and instructions that seem to come straight from another era. From those pages, I will select a recipe and bring it back to the kitchen, to discover what the past truly tasted like.
Because behind an old recipe, there is more than just a dish: there is a home, a family, a habit, a season, a way of life. And perhaps even a story that was simply waiting to be told again.
So, each month brings a page to turn, a recipe to rediscover, and a dish to put on the stove.
Welcome to the table. The book is open, the kitchen is ready.
And now… let’s discover what people ate back then.
